Cruise Ship Special
The greatest fear of passengers arriving by cruise ship in the morning is that they might miss the boat when it departs later that afternoon. It is a fear that the cruise ships themselves encourage when promoting their own, expensive shore based tours in preference to cheaper private tours.
We truly believe that of all the private tour operators in Hobart, we have the lowest risk of "missing the boat"! Why can we say that and how can you be sure that we aren't just another "fly by night", micky mouse operation?
Well firstly, we are all very experienced drivers. Our cars are modern, regularly inspected and mechanically sound. In over 3 years, we have never had a mechanical breakdown. Furthermore, in the unlikely event that a breakdown may occur, enough time has been allowed for backup drivers to collect passengers from anywhere in the trip and return them to the cruise ship, well before it's departure time.

Most cruise ship tours (unless staying overnight or departing late) are therefore restricted to locations close to Hobart; including surrounding lookouts, MONA and the Coal River Valley. When touring the cool climate vineyards for which this region is famous we have selected a variety of the best; from small and intimate family run operations to large but spectacular wineries like Frogmore Creek. When we find any particular venue to be overly crowded, say by a large cruise ship tour bus, we have the flexibility to immediately move on to the next vineyard and return to it after the bus has left.
